What Is SAFE Liposuction
Dr. Atul Kesarwani explains SAFE liposuction, the method he uses. SAFE stands for separation, aspiration and fat equalization. He first loosens the fat, then removes it with a smaller cannula, and finally smooths the area so it is even. He explains that this approach means less bruising and a quicker recovery.

Dr. Atul Kesarwani is a Royal College certified plastic surgeon (FRCSC) with over 30 years of experience. He has been a plastic surgeon at Michael Garron Hospital since 1988, including 12 years as Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery, and is a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is the Medical Director of Cosmedical Rejuvenation Clinic.
