“Patients are always looking for less invasive ways to get lifting results”

Not ready for facelift surgery but still want to lift sagging facial tissues? Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation treatment that uses innovative micro-suspension technology (MST) to instantly lift sagging skin in the mid-face and along the jaw line. It also helps your body renew your natural collagen. You’ll see an improvement immediately, and because collagen production is increased, your skin will just get firmer and more youthful in the weeks and months following your treatment!

All it takes is 45 minutes, with minimal downtime, for results that you’ll love for up to 2 full years.

A study published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal found that a group of 100 patients reported the following:

  • Just 1 week after their treatment, 79% of patients were satisfied with their results.
  • At 3 months after their treatment, 83% of patients described InstaLift to be effective in improving age-related change.
  • At 24 months after their treatment,  71% were still satisfied with their results.

Another study found that patients reported a remarkable change in the quality of their skin and that they still looked several years younger even 12 months after their treatment!

Only by choosing a surgeon who has experience with facial procedures can you get a plan that is right for you. At Cosmedical Rejuvenation Clinic, every InstaLift procedure is performed by Dr. Priya Kesarwani, a board certified Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon who performs all of our facial plastic surgery procedures.

Dr. P Kesarwani has been performing the InstaLift procedure since 2017, far longer than most other doctors in Canada. She is also an official InstaLift trainer who routinely teaches other medical professionals how to perform this advanced type of thread lift. This ensures that your treatment is performed by a facial plastic surgeon who is highly experienced and capable in performing InstaLift.

How Does a Thread Lift Work?

The old fashioned thread lift worked by using threads with barbs (which are now off the market). These threads were inserted into the target areas under local anesthesia and attached to the facial skin, gently pulling the skin tighter and upward.

We have done many thread lifts over the years and have found it to be a great way to give a more youthful appearance in the right patients, without removing any tissues or applying extensive surgery techniques.  For the right patient, a thread lift may be an option to consider instead of a facelift. However, the old fashioned thread lift did have some issues — which is why we now offer InstaLift!

How is the InstaLift Thread Lift Different?

InstaLift is better and safer than the old style of thread lifts because bidirectional cones and absorbable (ie non-permanent) materials are used. It uses patented micro-suspension technology (MST), based on a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer that is commonly used in therapeutic medicine. MST is based on absorbable sutures and bidirectional cones that suspend tissues with a reduced risk of migration and extrusion. The threads come in three sizes to accommodate minor to dramatic sagging.

The unique structure of InstaLift threads results in a gentle lifting of the cheeks and jawline instantly. At the same time, long-term natural collagen production is boosted when fibroblasts are stimulated to initiate collagen production because of the glycolide / L-lactide (PLGA) that is in the sutures and cones. These reasons are why InstaLift is different from other thread lifts on the market.

The InstaLift Procedure

InstaLift is a non-surgical procedure that takes about 45 minutes to undergo. After a thorough discussion about your goals, markings are made to plan your lift in order to achieve your desired results. A small amount of local anesthesia is administered to make you comfortable, and then a needle is used to place the threads and suspension cones underneath your skin. The tissues are then lifted into the ideal rejuvenated position. And you’re done! You will notice a lift instantly and increased collagen production over the next few weeks and months.

Immediately after the procedure you may have minor discomfort, for which you can take over-the-counter medications. There may be minimal swelling or bruising for 2-3 days, for which Arnica (available at Cosmedical) can help speed up the recovery.
