Dr. Kesarwani is an outstanding surgeon and not merely for his superior technical skills. I just today went through an abdominoplasty today with Dr. Atul Kesarwani. Having a history full of other medical woes, I was a bit reluctant and quite nervous to undergo all this. So, far, I have no reservations thanks in a large part due to this tremendous dr and his whole team (plus Wendy in the office). I did some reading up on him before proceeding and that no doubt helped me with my decision. I know I am not an easy patient, so kudos to them for putting up with me. If you are looking for a dr, and he is available, you needn't look any further

The Experience
Step 1: Planning
Dr. Kesarwani believes that it's all in the measuring, marking and planning. This sets your expectations and allows you to know what to expect. Dr. Kesarwani will make markings while you're sitting and standing. These are positions that you would see yourself doing on a regular basis after surgery. That way you'll look great, whether you're standing straight up, bending over or lying down.
Step 2: Surgery
Dr. Kesarwani administers a unique formulation of anesthesia. This decreases any discomfort during your surgery and for about 6-8 hours afterward. The skin is lifted off the abdominal wall so the upper flap can come down, allowing for a lower incision line. Dr. Kesarwani leaves the skin on your sides, so it remains attached. Doing this maintains blood flow, minimizing the risk of complications. He also uses electrocautery to reduce bleeding and bruising. There's only a conservative amount of skin removed to avoid a tight, unnatural result. Dr. Kesarwani doesn't only repair separated ab muscles down the mid-line of your body – he also pulls in the oblique (side) muscles. This gives you a more cinched-in waist. It's kind of like an internal corset.
Dr. Kesarwani takes a fair amount of time to ensure the incision around the navel isn't all the way around. He does this by bringing the hanging skin on the lower abdomen up into the navel, where the incision remains below the surface of the skin. Because it's your own skin going inside the navel, there is no visible scar.
Dr. Kesarwani then closes the incisions after removing excess skin. He administers local anesthetic in the abdominal area. This decreases discomfort for several hours after your cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Kesarwani places sutures in several layers of tissue, so that there is less tension on the skin. This gives you a smoother, finer scar that's less at risk of re-opening. There is no lumpiness.
Step 3: Recovery
You may need to take about 1-2 weeks off from work (or longer if your work is physically demanding). Follow aftercare instructions and wear your compression garment for a complete recovery.
Step 4: Enjoy your results
You'll be amazed how much of a positive impact the surgery will have on your confidence. You'll look like you did thousands of situps for a leaner, firmer mid-section and less stretch marks! You won't have a visible scar around your belly button and your other scar will remain hidden by your bikini bottom. You'll be free to wear anything you want without worrying about how you look.
