Fraxel is a Health Canada approved laser treatment that removes years from your appearance and corrects skin imperfections with light energy. It is advanced fractional laser technology in which thousands of microscopic laser columns treat a fraction of your skin layers, leaving surrounding skin intact and unharmed. These lasered columns of tissue stimulate the production of collagen, allowing your skin to restore itself to become younger smoother and healthier.

What Can Fraxel Toronto Do for You?

The original fractional laser treatment will result in:

  • Smoother, fresher younger looking skin
  • Improved tone and skin texture
  • Erasing of unwanted brown spots and pigmented lesions
  • Reduced fine lines (for example around the eyes)
  • Diminished scars from trauma and acne – in fact, this treatment achieves great results for acne scars and surgical scars

Great for Problematic, Aging Skin and Wrinkles

Highly Effective in Treating a Number of Complexion Issues

Faster Results Than Other Skin Resurfacing Technologies

We offer the Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927 laser. This advanced laser skin resurfacing technology resolves the issues caused by  aging, trauma and sun damage by rejuvenating skin cells.

The Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927 delivers intense laser energy to initiate collagen remodelling of skin tissue.

Your Fraxel Laser Treatment

Once Fraxel skin resurfacing is determined to be suitable for your skin and goals, your treatment begins. Your skin is cleansed and a topical anesthetic is applied to improve your comfort. The handheld applicator of the Fraxel laser system device is passed over the desired area(s) multiple times. For the face, it can take about 30 minutes or so.

Once complete, your skin is cleansed again and treated with protective skincare products.

Are Fraxel Laser Treatments Right for You?

If you’ve spent time outside without sunscreen, you might have skin damage. If you’re in your 30s or beyond, you might be starting to notice signs of aging. Laser treatments are a good way to manage these common skin concerns.

Laser technologies are very effective because they don’t just treat the outer layer of skin. They penetrate deep pass the skin’s surface to rebuild collagen, making skin youthful and radiant. Fraxel laser is a treatment commonly used for this reason. If you want to kick-start your body’s collagen-building process, read on to learn more about the many benefits.

Benefits

Because Fraxel treatments are done in sections – not the entire body at once – your body’s surrounding tissue stays put, allowing you to heal quickly for a short recovery period. After a single treatment, the skin is resurfaced to promote a smooth, youthful-looking complexion. Most patients only need one or two sessions to achieve their desired results.

Fraxel laser treatment improves the texture and tone of your skin, removing acne scars and any dimpling and discoloration. Hyperpigmentation – brown spots caused by excessive sun exposure – is dramatically reduced.

Fraxel laser treatment is also helpful for reducing signs of aging. Fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet can be eliminated with regular Fraxel treatments. Fraxel treatment can also reduce scars caused by acne and surgery. It promotes new, healthy skin cells from the inside out.

The entire process is quick and relatively painless. A Fraxel treatment takes about 20-25 minutes for the entire face. There may be slight discomfort after the treatment, but the feeling is similar to a sensation of heat, like sunburn. The skin will look bronzed afterward, but any pain typically goes away within a few hours. Swelling may last several days.

There is minimal downtime required after a Fraxel treatment. However, more aggressive treatments may require some downtime. You can go back to work or participate in sports and social activities soon after a treatment.

There are many types of nonsurgical skin resurfacing treatments available on the market. Consider everything before making the choice to use Fraxel laser for healthy skin.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fraxel

What is Fraxel?

Fraxel is non surgical laser technology that promotes new skin growth. A non ablative laser targets only a fraction of your skin at a time to boost the skin’s natural collagen production and cellular turnover, expediting the healing process for a faster recovery. The treatment repairs damaged skin for a more youthful, healthier complexion.

How many treatments will I need?

You’ll find out how many treatments you’ll need during your skin assessment and initial consultation. It can range from one session to correct minor imperfections, or more to correct moderately damaged skin and serious concerns like acne scarring, wrinkles and sun spots.

Is this suitable for all skin types?

Yes, Fraxel is suitable for all skin types.

Can I get Fraxel if I get other non invasive skin treatments?

Yes. Fraxel is a great way to enhance the improvement you obtain through other non invasive treatments, such as dermal fillers, Botox and even laser hair removal.
