What are Some of the Best Non-Invasive Plastic Surgery Procedures?

Plastic surgery has changed a lot in the past decade. Many people desire to remove unwanted fat, lift sagging areas, remove wrinkles and adjust their breast size. However, in the past, these procedures were not only costly but required many months of downtime – virtually impossible for a busy professional or stay-at-home mom.

Now, you don't necessarily have to go "under the knife" in order to rejuvenate your appearance. Medical advances have created many types of non-invasive plastic surgery procedures that can be performed in about an hour. These are often called “lunchtime beauty fixes” because a woman can have one of these procedures done on their lunch hour and go back to work immediately. Here are some of the most commonly performed procedures that come with very few side effects.

Botox started the anti-aging phenomenon about a decade ago and since then, there have been other fillers created to fill in even the deepest wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is most commonly used and it includes names such as Juvederm, Perlane and Restylane. Fillers are minimally invasive – it's just like getting a shot. The filler is injected into wrinkles in the facial area. Juvederm can also be used to lift the brows and fill in sunken areas in the face and cheeks – like a liquid facelift. Although not permanent, an injection can last up to one year. Just like any normal injection, bruising and redness may occur.

Microdermabrasion helps rejuvenate skin through collagen growth. A mechanical device is used to remove dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of acne scars. It can also remove age spots and crow's feet, making skin look years younger. Side effects are rare.

IPL Laser Treatment

Many people may be embarrassed by darkened pigmentation, but this common skin condition can be easily treated with lasers of intense pulsed light. The light brightens skin, reducing the appearance of age spots and birth marks. The most common side effect is skin irritation.

This is laser device that will shorten the collegen fibres under the skin and stimulate more collagen to grow resulting in tightening of the skin. This will lead to a firmer jawline, less neck wrinkles and a lifted appearance to the face and brows. There is no downtime and the procedure takes about an hour.
