Practice Policy Regarding COVID-19
These are unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world and our community. We know that outbreaks are surmountable when every citizen does her/his part to reduce contact between each other and slow the spread of the disease. This allows health care professionals valuable time to test probable cases and treat infected patients – all while caring for people with other unrelated urgent medical conditions. Our efforts and hearts go toward helping those directly and indirectly affected by this crisis.
We are fortunate that we do not have high-risk patients presenting to Cosmedical. Additionally, we have ultimate control over our cleaning and disinfection protocols and routinely surpass the standards set by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
But like many offices in Toronto at this time, we had decided to postpone all scheduled elective surgical procedures. Important post-operative follow up appointments are arranged for diligent and necessary after care.
Our office remains open for virtual online and essential in-person consultations at (416) 449-9983 or [email protected]
Appointments are spaced to ensure compliance with the Ministry of Health’s social distancing recommendations.
As doctors, we understand what is required of the medical system at a time like this. We provide our services and resources to our patients, local hospitals and public health units. And above all, we honour our oath.
“I will remember that I remain a member of society with special obligations to all my fellow human beings… May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.”
Please take good care of yourselves. Remember – you are not alone. We are here for you.
